who is coming to momentum?


We're confirming lots of great guests and speakers, plus entertaining characters to come along to Momentum 2010, so check the list to see who they are and what they will be doing!!

andy croft

Andy is Associate Director of Soul Survivor. He studied Theology at Cambridge Uni (so is very clever), has written a book and does a fair bit of speaking too. He also heads up ‘Called to Lead’, the Soul Survivor discipleship course for emerging leaders and is now happily married to the lovely Beth Croft.

mike pilavachi

Mike keeps himself busy by competing with his friends over anything from a game of tennis to who has the most friends on Facebook or who can eat the most chillies. Oh yeah and he set up this thing called Soul Survivor, pastors a church called Soul Survivor Watford, speaks at churches and events around the world and writes books.

the worship leaders

beth croft

Watford born and bred, Beth now heads up worship and music stuff for Soul Survivor Church in Watford. Beth studied Maths at Bath University and if left to her own devices, she would bankrupt herself (and Andy) with eBay purchases!

tim hughes

Tim has been involved in all things Soul Survivor since forever. He is Associate Director of Worship at Holy Trinity Brompton and heads up Worship Central which aims to resource and equip worship leaders and musicians. Tim is married to the lovely Rachel and they have two gorgeous children – Phoebe and Simeon.

phil wickham

Phil has been writing songs and leading worship since he was 12 years old. He lives in the U S of A and is happily married to his high school sweetheart, Mallory.

the speakers

toby bassford

Toby is married to Debbie and they have one gorgeous little boy called Isaac. They head up a young adult and student prayer and mission network in Sheffield. Toby is passionate about Jesus, his family, having fun with mates, and Nottingham Forest!!

suzie brock...

Married to Tom (see below), Suzie is, with her husband, one of the directors of Wave of Life Ministries. Suzie has been serving in full time ministry for over 30 years having founded and directed initiatives that have sent missionaries to 4 continents and she’s even been involved in pastoring 2 congregations too!

tom brock...

Married to Suzie (see above), Tom is (with his wife) the second half of the leadership team of Wave of Life Ministries. He's served as a pastor in 2 congregations and also travels the world speaking and encouraging his listeners to commit themselves to the Lord and to find their place in the body of Christ.

bishop graham cray...

Graham is the chairman of the Soul Survivor Trust and his day job is Team Leader of 'Fresh Expressions' and the Archibishops Missioner. He is married to Jackie and they have two adult daughters. We reckon he’s the coolest bishop this side of the moon as he has a full month of music on his iBook!

john coles

John and his wife Anne, head up the leadership of New Wine and in his ‘spare’ time John is also Associate Minister at St Barnabas, North Finchley.

ken costa

Ken is the Chairman of Alpha International and Church Warden of Holy Trinity Brompton. After studying law and theology at the University of Cambridge, Ken worked for an investment bank in the City of London for over 30 years. He and his wife, Fi, live in London. They have two sons and two daughters.

maggie ellis

Maggie is a qualified Counsellor and Psychosexual therapist who specialises in sexual issues and working with trauma. She is Christianity magazine’s controversial Agony Aunt, and Director of Lifecentre Rape Crisis Service. She also works in leadership development training and private coaching.

roger ellis

Roger is a founder member and Leader of Revelation church, which meets in Chichester, West Sussex. During the last 10 years he has helped pioneer the student ministry Fusion and he spends time training and mentoring Church Leaders and helping shape Churches and ministries both in the UK and overseas.

andy hawthorne

Andy is the Founder and Director of The Message Trust, which has birthed The Tribe, Blushuk, LZ7, Eden, Genetik Evangelist Training School, The LifeCentre, Breathe & the Eden bus ministry. Manchester born and bred, Andy has a burning passion to see the young people of his city transformed by the gospel.

krish kandiah

Krish is an Executive Director at the Evangelical Alliance. Previously he has worked in Albania as a missionary, in Oxford University as a lecturer and Harrow as a church leader. He is an author, evangelist, foster parent and blogger (http://krishk.wordpress.com). He supports Liverpool FC, loves fairtrade chocolate and watches as many movies as he can fit into his waking hours.

Fuzz travels the world collecting stories, creating stories and spreading rumours of hope. He is a youth worker, minister, trainer speaker writer and coach. His 35 years of being in ministry gives him a breadth of experience and wisdom for his consultancy work. He has a beard and has been involved in church planting!

chris lane

Chris leads Langworthy Community Church in Salford. He has one wife, Esther, and two children, Daniel and Rebekah, and hopes that his kids will grow up to follow Jesus and Manchester United, in that order.

bishop wayne malcolm

Wayne Malcolm is the Senior Pastor and Bishop of Christian Life City; one of London's fastest growing mega churches. He travels extensively as a consultant and teacher sharing cutting-edge ideas on the science of achievement and the laws of personal and corporate success.

jeannie morgan...

Jeannie has been part of the Soul Survivor Watford Church team since it started 17 years ago and has also travelled for several years as part of the Soul Survivor international team teaching about  prayer ministry. She is also the author of the book ‘Let the Healing Begin’ having a passion to see Jesus set people free and encouraging others to do likewise.

Kiera heas up the Tearfund Youth Team. She’s half-Irish, very messy, loves silly games and a rowdy round of Kabaddi. Be careful not to get her too excited though, your ears might not be able to take the squeaking!! Oh, and by the way, it's not "Fi-Yo", it's pronounced "Pew", thank you very much

Patrick is the founder and director of XLP, a charity that for the past 15 years has been working with families and young people in inner-city London. God has led him to over 30 countries, supporting poorer communities and speaking in many diverse places, including Jamaica’s Trench town to events at the House of Commons.

Jo is a mum, wife, writer, blogger and Starbucks lover (!) based with her vicar hubby and their gorgeous girls in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. She loves seeing people discover how amazing God is and His potential for their lives.

tim rudge

Tim and his wife Lynn live in Birmingham with their children James and Anna.  Tim is Field Director for UCCF Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship)  working with Christian Unions across the UK.  Before working for UCCF he worked with students in the Former Soviet Union. 

laurence singlehurst

Laurence Singlehurst is Director of Cell UK and former Director of Youth With A Mission England. He is a regular speaker at national events such as Spring Harvest and cell conferences worldwide. His particular passion is equipping churches to reach their communities, with a emphasis on network evangelism empowered by cell church structures.

elaine storkey

Dr Elaine Storkey is a well-known Christian academic and broadcaster. A respected theologian and sociologist, she is often to be heard at conferences and on national radio, relating a Christian perspective to 21st Century living.  She is Vice President of the University of Gloucestershire and was Executive Director of the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity.

viv thomas

Viv Thomas is the Founder and Director of Formation, an organisation set up to provide teaching and mentoring for Christian leaders. Amongst other things he is also the Hon Teaching Pastor at St. Paul’s Hammersmith; an ordained Anglican; an Associate Lecturer at Spurgeon’s College London; an organisational consultant and the writer.

will van der hart

Rev Will van Der Hart is the vicar of St Peter’s Church in Harrow and Co-Director of Mind and Soul a national interface between emotional health issues and Christian spirituality. Will is married to Louie (a Christian journalist) and they have one young daughter called Skye. They all love adventure sports and shopping in Westfield.

ness wilson

Ness leads the Open Heaven Church leadership team and is passionate about leadership, great communication and seeing the local church flourish. Her time is divided between leading Church, investing in friendships and being a mum. She also invests time in other female leaders and is involved in discipling new Christians.

rich wilson

Rich is the National Team Leader for Fusion, he is responsible for strategy that builds partnerships with students, churches and other organisations. Rich is married to Ness and lives in a community household with family and friends. He is also involved in the leadership of Open Heaven Church, and to relax enjoys a round of golf, any form of food and drink, and playing with his kids.
